- Gram stain/culture
- PCR (Gonococcal urethritis, Non-gonococcal urethritis, Trichomoniasis)
- Serological test (Treponemal test: FTA-ABS, MHA-TP, TPHA; Non-treponemal test: VDRL, RPR-syphilis)
